Dear America, Please Fix Your Crappy Infrastructure
"It’s not until something terrible happens—like hurricanes or explosions—that basic repair projects to shore up infrastructure become a top priority. That will have to change, for the sake of our economy, the environment, and our lives. A 21st-century city can’t move forward with 19th-century pipes."
This is something that has been on my mind lately. This low taxes thing is a economic policy fallacy. Keeping taxes low and government spending low in the short term is just like ignoring repairs on your house… you have extra spending money now, but at some point you aren’t going to have a house.
